Description

The base KTU Pteridophyta contains over 2645 records (specimens) representing Divisio (Phylum): Equisetophyta (855), Lycopodiophyta (212), Polypodiophyta (1578). This collection originates mainly from Poland (97%), a smaller part of collection was collected in various parts of the world (3%). The greatest part of the polish collection documents botanic scientific researchers from Silesian University and includes materials from the areas where the research has been conducted – Upper Silesia (7%) and adjacent regions (23%), a smaller part are specimens from another territory of Poland (4,5%).
