Description
The database includes information concerning breeding birds diversity in Małopolska (south-east Poland). The data was gathered from 1985 to 1991 and then published in ‘The Atlas of Breeding Birds in Małopolska 1985-1991’ (Walasz #datasetdescriptiondetails# Mielczarek 1992). The area of Małopolska has been divided up, using grid of geographical coordinates, into 67 atlas blocks where information about avifauna richness was collected. Each record of our database contains species name, the year of observation and geographical coordinates (middle of the atlas bloc WGS83).
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 8,279 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
