Flora of the “Końskie Łąki” and “Zarosłe Łąki” Meadows, Tricity Landscape Park

The database contains data from floristic surveys conducted in two meadow complexes located in the Oliwa Forests, between the Gdynia district of Wielki Kack and Gdańsk's Osowa, within the Tricity Landscape Park. The area of “Końskie Łąki” (Horse Meadows) is approximately 6 hectares, while “Zarosłe Łąki” (Overgrown Meadows) covers 4.1 hectares. These meadows are situated in the flat-bottomed, spring-fed section of the valley of the Źródło Marii stream (a right tributary of the Kacza River). For over a hundred years, the meadows have been drained with small ditches, although some areas have retained wet (including spring-fed) patches with relatively natural vegetation.

The research was conducted during the 2015 growing season. During fieldwork, a floristic inventory was carried out, including an assessment of the abundance of each species using a four-point scale: 1 – taxon occurred singly (1–10 individuals); 2 – taxon was fairly numerous (11–100 individuals); 3 – taxon was numerous (101–1,000 individuals); 4 – taxon occurred in mass numbers (>1,000 individuals).

The data presented below are part of the thesis titled Vegetation of the Planned Ecological Sites “Końskie Łąki” and “Zarosłe Łąki” (Tricity Landscape Park), prepared at the Department of Plant Taxonomy and Nature Conservation, University of Gdańsk. The plant specimens collected during the research have been deposited in the Herbarium of the University of Gdańsk (UGDA).
