Description
In the Collection very significant material is a series of skulls and skeletons of European bison (Bison bonasus) from free living herd in Białowieża Primeval Forest. At the moment the collection includes 1094 records for European bison and crossbreed (Bison bonasus x Bos taurus).

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 743 records.
