說明

The dataset contains the quantity of macrozoobenthic organisms collected at eight stations across two sampling locations (ML - open coast, MW - Vistula prodelta) along the southern coast of the Baltic Sea (latitude 54.373 to 54.978, longitude 17.331 to 19.255). Macrofauna samples were collected in three replicates during two research campaigns onboard s/y Oceania in January-February and October 2019 using Van Veen grabs. Samples were sieved over a 0.5 mm mesh size sieve and preserved in formaldehyde solution. Organisms were identified under a stereomicroscope to the lowest possible taxonomic level, counted, and weighed (wet weight). The dataset presents the abundance (A) in numbers of individuals per square meter, and biomass (B) in grams per square meter.

Benthic macrofauna sampled using a Van Veen grab (0.1 m² sampling area).

研究範圍 Study Extent Samples were collected during two research cruises conducted in January anc October 2019. Samples were taken along te southern coast of the Baltic Sea in three replicates at 8 stations from two locations - opoen coast of Poland and proximity of Vistula river (Vistula prodelta).

方法步驟描述:

  1. 1. Benthic macrofauna sampled using a Van Veen grab (0.1 m² sampling area). 2. Sediments sieved onboard over a 0.5 mm mesh sieve to retain macrofauna. 3.Samples preserved in 4% buffered formaldehyde solution. 4. Animals identified under stereomicroscope to the lowest possible taxonomic level (preferably species), counted and weighted (wet-weight). 5. Sorted samples preserved in 70% ethanol solution
