說明

Abundance [ind. m-2] and biomass [g m-2; formalin wet weight] of macrozoobenthos from sediment cores (core height: 30 cm; core diameter: 11.43 cm; sampling area: approx. 0.01 m-2) collected by hand directly from the seabed or box corer during Comeback project in the southern Baltic Sea, along the Polish coast. Sampling took place from 3.04.2019 to 27.01.2020, during spring, autumn and winter, and additionally from the shore during summer, at depths from 0.5m to 63m. Sampling and analysis are described in detail in Silberberger et al. (2022; https://doi.org/10.1007/s12237-022-01074-w).

取樣方法

Macrozoobenthic samples were obtained from soft-bottom sediments using benthic box correr (or directly from the seafloor) . Sediments of approx. 20 cm height were taken by plexi-glass tubes of 11.43 cm diameter and filled with marine water and sealed for later experiments. After experimental part of the study was over, collected material was sieved over 0.5 mm size sieve to separate macrofauna and preserved in formalin solution. In the lab, samples were processed for taxonomic identification and quantitative analyses of abundance and biomass.

研究範圍 The study covers benthic habitats of the southern Baltic Sea, including coastal and adjacent offshore soft-bottom environments along the Polish coast (53.774–54.439°N; 14.365–19.143°E).
